TRIBUTES have been paid to a young Cork woman who passed away suddenly during a canyoneering excursion in the Philippines.

Ms Haugh was holidaying in Badian, located in the province of Cebu, at the time of her death.
She was treated at the scene where she collapsed, but unfortunately lost her life.

Local Ballintemple football club, Avondale United, announced the cancellation of its weekend fixtures to show their respect for Meg, whose father Richard is a committee member.
“It is with heavy hearts that we learn of the untimely passing of young Meg Haugh, daughter of Richard Haugh,” a spokesperson for the club said.
Fianna Fáil Cork City South-East councillor, Mary Rose Desmond said: “It’s an exceptionally tragic situation to be facing.
“It’s heartbreaking for the Haugh family with Meg so young and her whole life in front of her."
"My thoughts and condolences go to the family and all of her friends at this time.”
