A man in his 20s has been seriously injured in a collision involving a car and a bus in Co Kerry.

It happened on the N70 at Aghatubrid, near Cahersiveen, at around 5pm on Sunday.

The man, who was driving the car, was rushed to Cork University Hospital for treatment.

The bus driver, a man in his 50s, was uninjured.

The road is currently closed for a forensic examination, and Gardaí are appealing for witnesses.
