Cork roads: Cyclist hospitalised and man arrested following morning collision

The incident, which involved a car and a cyclist, occurred on the R624 in Cobh at approximately 9am.
A spokesperson for the gardaí confirmed that the cyclist involved was injured during the course of the collision and is currently undergoing treatment in Cork University Hospital (CUH).
The spokesperson further confirmed that one man was arrested at the scene and is currently being detained at a garda station in Cork.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
