New connection works may cause water and traffic disruptions on Cork’s northside on Wednesday, Uisce Éireann has warned.

The water utility company said the works, which are part of its national leakage reduction programme, are scheduled to take place from midday until 4pm on Wednesday, April 16.

According to Uisce Éireann, new connection works may cause supply and traffic disruptions to Errigal Heights, Glen Avenue, Glen Industrial Park, The Glen and surrounding areas in Cork city.

These works follow similar new connection works in The Glen a fortnight ago.

There will be a traffic management plan in place for the duration of the works.

Uisce Éireann said it recommended that the public should allow two to three hours after the estimated restoration time for water supply to fully return.

To access updates on these works, the public is invited to visit the Uisce Éireann website, water.ie, and enter in the search bar the reference: CCI00076291.
