Last night, over 500 guests joined the Lord Mayor Cllr Kieran McCarthy to honour the very best of Cork's community and voluntary groups.
The occasion was filled with inspirational stories, kind messages and a celebration of those who work tirelessly to make their part of Cork a great place to live.
The Kalyna Ukrainian Choir was named the overall winners at Lord Mayor's community awards and their win earned a delighted albeit shocked reaction from members of the group.

The evening was made extra special by a surprise performance by the Lord Mayor himself who joined the Carrigtwohill Gospel Choir to sing a rendition of You Raise Me Up and Can’t Help Falling In Love.
