In 2020 Ms O’Driscoll was jailed for life for his murder following a trial at the Central Criminal Court sitting in Cork.
While Ms O’Driscoll had claimed she acted in self defence, the jury of seven women and five men took just over six hours minutes to deliver their unanimous verdict.
An appeal against the conviction was subsequently dismissed.
