MOTORISTS are facing difficult driving conditions in parts of Cork city and county this morning as schools return and many people return to work following the Christmas break.
A nationwide icy fog warning was issued by Met Eireann that will last until 10am and this has led to difficulty in some areas.
There have been many instances of black ice.

Icy conditions have been reported on Farranferris Avenue and Killeens in the city and also at Kerry Pike and parts of Blarney. Blarney Village was closed due to incidents of Black Ice.
