A GARDA who is about to take up a new role as a community guard at Blackrock station, in Cork, was thanked for her last four years of work as an officer based at Cork District Court.

Judge Mary Dorgan said to Garda Karen Ring: 

“Thank you for your wonderful help and, most particularly, for your smiling face.”

Joseph Cuddigan, on behalf of solicitors, and Peter Devine, on behalf of court staff, said Garda Ring would be missed and they both wished her well.
