Judge Mary Dorgan welcomed to Cork District Court

Judge Mary Dorgan was welcomed to Cork District Court today where she takes over as the permanent judge for the court following the recent retirement of Judge Olann Kelleher.

On behalf of the Southern Law Association, Frank Buttimer, solicitor, said: “May I congratulate you on your appointment and wish you the best in the continuation of your career. 

"You have served with distinction up to now in the family court and the juvenile court. My colleagues and I will cooperate with you to the fullest extent.” 

Sergeant Aisling Murphy joined in the congratulations of Judge Dorgan to the permanent position as judge of Cork District Court.

Judge Dorgan thanked Mr Buttimer and Sgt. Murphy and said she would do her best to run the court as efficiently as possible.
