An older sibling of Tina Satchwell has said that her sister can now "rest in peace'.

Teresa Dingivan posted on Facebook that the youngest of her four sisters was now with her late mother.

"RIP to my beautiful sister Tina. You can rest now luv we found you I luv and miss you. You are now with mum. Fly high my beautiful girl."

In a second post Ms Dingivan asked Tina to give her mother "a big hug."

Tina hailed from a family of eight and was born in Fermoy, Co Cork.

Teresa Dingivan previously told the Irish Examiner that Tina was "adored" by her parents.

"She (Tina) was the youngest out of five girls, there were three boys too. We were a close family. She was loved, happy, a lovely younger girl."

Ms Dinigivan said that Tina loved clothes and jewellery.

She had good memories of Tina who was "kind and considerate" as well as being “funny, bubbly and independent.”

Meanwhile, in 2021 Ms Dingivan spoke to the Irish Mirror newspaper.

She expressed the belief that “someone had a hand” in the disappearance of her sister.

“She (Tina) wouldn’t just disappear off the face of the earth.”

Ms Dingivan, who lives in the UK, said that Tina was always in Fermoy visiting family.

“She used to go and visit my niece. They had a lot in common. She used to go and visit my brother, my sister. She used to go swimming there or for a walk in the park.”

Ms Dingivan also said in the interview that there were ‘no problems or signs’ of distress when family members last saw Tina.

“She was happy. She wasn’t distressed. Nothing.”
