The Central Criminal Court jury also heard today  that gardaí told the murder accused his "second story" about his wife's death, where he said he held her off by the belt of her bathrobe after she attacked him, had "come apart" and did not match up with the evidence.

The accused reported that Tina had taken approximately €26,000 from their savings from a box in the attic.

Earlier, the court heard that a phone linked to Mr Satchwell, who told gardaí that he kept the body of his wife Tina in a freezer before burying her beneath their home, posted an ad on DoneDeal reading "Large chest freezer free to take away, working perfect just needs a clean" days after her alleged murder.
