Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow weather warning and advisory for today, Tuesday, June 20, in relation to thunderstorms and heavy rain.

Heavy showers with thunderstorms are likely, with possible impacts including spot flooding, poor visibility, and difficult travelling conditions.

The warning is valid from 12 noon, Tuesday, June 20, until 10pm tonight. 

The warning was issued this morning at 8.10am.

Wednesday will be a very mixed bag as clear skies will be visible until the late morning when overcast weather conditions will arise. The afternoon will consist of cloudy conditions between a series of rainy spells. Temperatures range between 13 to 18 degrees.

Thursday will start off dry with overcast conditions until the early afternoon. Rain is forecasted throughout the afternoon into the evening. Conditions will become calm until the early hours of Friday morning. Temperatures could peak at 20 degrees.

Friday will be extremely wet with few breaks in the rain downpour throughout the county. Temperature will peak at 18 degrees. Those attending Jenny Greene and the RTÉ Concert Orchestra on Friday should bring a waterproof coat.

Saturday will consist of sporadic rain downpours throughout the day with temperatures reaching 21 degrees. The evening should be relatively cloudy, which will suit those attending Pints in a Field – The Two Johnnies Podcast at Musgrave Park.
