Cork gardaí investigating suspected arson in Kanturk

GARDAÍ are investigating a suspected arson in Kanturk last night.

A silver car was seen on fire outside a barber shop on O'Brien Street just before 9pm. The fire spread to the front of the barber shop and members of Cork County Fire Service brought the fire under control.

A man wearing a grey tracksuit bottoms and top was seen running from the area. A technical examination is being carried out at the scene today, and it remains sealed off this morning.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who was in the O Brien Street and Greenane area and who may have seen the incident or drivers who may have dashcam footage, to contact Kanturk Garda Station on 029-20680, The Garda Confidential Line on 1800-666-111 or any Garda Station.
