Carey Tools confirm new premises following Albert Quay move
New three-acre site for Carey Tools is to be developed at the Kinsale Road Roundabout.

LONG established Cork tool hire company Carey Tools have confirmed their move to a new state of the art premises.

Carey's new location is situated on a site of over three acres at the Kinsale Road Roundabout with direct access on to the South Link Road.

The building is being developed by JCD as part of Carey's move from their existing location at Albert Quay.

Planning Permission for the new premises was received from An Bord Pleanála shortly before Christmas.

Speaking about the timeline for the move, Ken Carey of Carey Tools said:

"We are delighted to confirm our relocation to our new state of the art premises at the Kinsale Road Roundabout.

"A key consideration to our decision to move here was the sites accessibility and its high-profile location on the main entrance route to the city.

"It is extremely important for us to be in a location which is convenient for our clients.

"Construction will start in March with an occupation date of December 2020."

Founded in 1961, Carey Tools is a leading supplier of power tools, hand tools, DIY tools, fixings, adhesives and hardware accessories throughout Ireland.

The new Kinsale Road Roundabout premises will see significant investment and is set to include showrooms, storage and workshop areas.

A decision is due on this in February 2020.
