Man hospitalised following Blackpool assault 

The incident, which occurred at 9.40pm, was attended by emergency services. 

A man in his 20s was taken to hospital on Sunday night after suffering serious injuries in an attack in Cork city.

The victim is believed to have been beaten with a hurley by a group of men in Blackpool.

The incident, which occurred at 9.40pm close to the cinema in Blackpool, was attended by emergency services who took the young man to hospital to be treated for his injuries.

It is understood the man has suffered head injuries from the assault.
