Homeless Help and Support Cork volunteers are continuing to patrol the streets of the city and help those in need during the current pandemic.

Its mission is to continue to make a difference in the lives of homeless people and provide dignity, hope and respect to those on the streets.

Its street runs provide hot meals, sandwiches, tea and coffee to those in need. The voluntary-led organisation also provides toiletries, bedding, sleeping bags, tents and most importantly, a listening ear to those living on the streets of Cork city.

Homeless Help and Support Cork also provides emotional and counselling support to individuals at risk of being made homeless or in a situation of homelessness.

Volunteers had a busy night in the city this week providing homeless with hot food and drinks and various toiletries and items of clothing which were in high demand.

The organisation is now making an appeal for donations in order to keep taking care of the homeless.

Donations are the lifeline of the organisation and go toward providing the best possible care for the homeless and help buy the essentials needed for volunteers to continue their street runs.

An iFundraise page has been set up to raise the much needed funds to help and support Cork city’s homeless.

“We are out again Friday and next Tuesday. Any donations would be very gratefully received,” the organisation said on social media.
