Know a Cork community champion? We want to hear all about them!
If you know a community champion send an email to news@theecho.ie nominating the person you think deserves this acknowledgement along with your name and contact details.

Amid the challenges presented by the Covid-19 pandemic, in recent weeks we have seen many heart-warming examples of community collaboration and resilience in the face of adversity across Cork.

We have reported on individuals helping their communities in a variety of ways, from a father and son duo who have been working together to repaint local landmarks within their 2km radius, to a 13-year-old who ran 5km around his house in aid of the Mercy Hospital and a Carrigaline woman helping local nurses by sewing on extra material to medical gowns which came in from China.

We want to continue to provide these individuals with the coverage they richly deserve.

Do you know someone who is going above and beyond to help people in this time of need?

We want to help you to acknowledge a community champion that you know.

It can be someone working on the frontline or someone who is helping out by delivering groceries or even something as simple as checking on an elderly neighbour by chatting at the garden gate.

Send an email to news@theecho.ie nominating the person you think deserves this acknowledgement along with your name and contact details and we will feature one champion every week in The Echo and on Echolive.ie.
