New Dealz store to open in Cork

A new Dealz store is set for Cork as the discount retailer opens three new stores across the country.

The new store in Clonakilty is due to open on Thursday, July 16.

Stores in Dublin and Donegal are also set to reopen as part of a £1m investment in the company's expansion which will create over 75 jobs.

The new stores will bring the total amount of Dealz stores in the country to 100.

Fine Gael Councillor Karen Coakley said that the opening of the Dealz store in the town was "fantastic news because Clonakilty is so dependent on tourism".

"It's fantastic. If we can get more jobs in the area it's going to be a win win. That's what we need," she said.

Dealz Retail Country Manager, Olivia McLoughlin, said that the additional job creation and investment in the new stores is part of a “renewed commitment” to the country and communities the retailer serves.
