Job losses confirmed at Cork multi-national Stryker 

A NUMBER of jobs have been lost at Stryker in Cork this week, the company has confirmed.

It is understood 40 workers have been let go from the manufacturing operation on Model Farm Road.

Stryker, which is one of the world’s leading medical technology companies, has five facilities in Cork with around 2,500 employees spread across the five hubs.

In a statement to The Echo, a Stryker spokesperson said after “careful consideration” the company had terminated a “limited number of temporary contract positions” within their manufacturing operation on Model Farm Road.

The spokesperson added: “Stryker continuously evolves to ensure that our resources and operations are aligned to address the ever-changing needs of our customers.

“These changes will help us remain best positioned to support our customers and respond to current and future market dynamics.”
