Kinsale RNLI called out to assist four people after their boat lost power

Volunteer crew members at Kinsale RNLI were called out yesterday evening to assist four people after a RIB they were on board lost power. 

The alarm was raised at approximately 6pm yesterday evening. 

The RNLI crew quickly made their way to Bullens Bay, off the Old Head of Kinsale and towed the RIB back to the safety of the main pier.

Crew members from the Old Head Coast Guard were also in attendance.

Returning to the station, the Kinsale RNLI crew carried out full Covid-19 protocol cleaning procedures to prepare the boat for its next service.
