Missing wallaby Dora the Explorer is returned home safely

Cork's escaped wallaby has been returned home after spending more than a week on the run.

The wallaby, Dora the Explorer, who received her nickname after escaping from Araglin Animal Sanctuary last Monday.

The animal had been spotted by members of the public in Kilworth before mystery grew around its whereabouts.

Araglin Animal Sanctuary is located near the Waterford border and houses a number of exotic animals.

Dora's owners confirmed today that she is now home safe and sound.

A member of the public spotted the animal in the early hours of this morning and stayed with it until owner Andrew Boyle came and collected her.
