It’s crunch time for Cork men and women this weekend on the GAA front.

First up, the Rebels play Galway in the All-Ireland senior hurling championship semi-final at Croke Park, and it’s live on RTÉ2 at 3.30pm on Saturday.

The other semi, between Clare and Munster champions Limerick, is on RTÉ2 on Sunday at 4pm.

Cork are in action in the quarter-finals of the All-Ireland ladies football championship, with all the ties live on TG4.

Their clash with Dublin is on TG4 on Saturday at 7.30pm.

The other quarter-finals on Saturday are Armagh v Kildare at 1.45pm, and Kerry v Meath at 5.15pm, with Galway v Mayo on TG4 on Sunday at 5.45pm.

The winner of Cork’s game will play Kerry or Meath in the semi-finals on July 18.

The final last 32 matches in the FIFA World Cup take place on Friday and Saturday, with all games live on RTÉ2.

Australia v Egypt is on Friday at 7pm, and holders Argentina v minnows Cape Verde is at 11pm. Later that night, Colombia v Ghana is at 2.30am. The last 16 ties then begin on Saturday, with Canada v Morocco at 6pm.

The biggest event of the year for cycling fans starts on Saturday when the Tour de France begins its 22-day run, this year in the Spanish city of Barcelona. You can see daily live coverage of every stage on TG4, the TG4 Player and the TG4 app.

The action will be even more frenetic at the Formula 1 British Grand Prix, live from Silverstone on Channel 4 on Sunday from 2.30pm.

After eight rounds, the season is shaping up to be memorable, with seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton slugging it out with 19-year-old Mercedes starlet Kimi Antonelli at the top of the table.

Finally, it’s the middle weekend of the Wimbledon tennis championships, and the round-the-clock action starts on BBC2 on Saturday at 11am, including third-round matches in the men’s and ladies’ singles competition.
