LOOKING FOR LOVE: Cork bachelor Gearóid in First Dates Ireland

With his man-bun and beard, Cork man Gearóid might be labelled something of a hipster.

Will the 37-year-old find the love of his life on First Dates Ireland on RTÉ2 on Thursday at 9pm?

His date, Rachel, 32, from Monaghan, has been single for ten years and is sick of attending weddings that remind her how in love everyone else is.

Perhaps a Cork man will be the answer to her prayers?

Also, ‘happily unmarried’ Gerry, 64, bravely ventures out of his comfort zone to meet fellow Meath person, Tai chi instructor Bernie, 70. It’s been a while since her last romance but Bernie’s ‘too bold’ to be looking for a saint!

Plus, super-stylish Moss, 20, of Wicklow, meets part-time bartender Ian,19, of Kildare. Both are over 6ft and – until now – neither has dated anyone that came close to their height. Will these fellow students hit the heights on their encounter?

Looking for a girl who can ‘put him in his place’, barman Jake, 22, of Cabinteely, meets forward and fearless Leah, 22, of Artane, who has a soft spot for the controversial mullet-moustache combo.
