PLAY IT AGAIN: Cork and Tipperary in last year’s All-Ireland hurling final

Just a glance at the fixture will send some Rebel hurling fans into a panic attack - Cork v Tipperary - but lookit, we have to move on some time!

The two great rivals square up in the Allianz Hurling League at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh on Saturday at 7.30pm, for the first time since that epic and - from the Rebels’ viewpoint - catastrophic All-Ireland final in July.

If Cork manage a decent first-half lead, the fear might well emerge again among fans of a second-half collapse, but hopefully the defending league champions will ease a little of the pain of that loss last summer.

The match is live on RTÉ2.

Ireland opened up the 2026 Six Nations Championship in France on Thursday, and there are two more games in the rugby tournament on Saturday.

Italy v Scotland is on Virgin Media 1 at 2.10pm, and England v Wales is on RTÉ2 at 4.40pm.

There is more live rugby, this time from Cork, next Friday when Ireland host Italy at Virgin Media Park in the U20s Six Nations 2026.

Jacqui Hurley is joined by Bernard Jackman and Fiona Coghlan for live coverage on RTÉ2 at 7.45pm.

Meanwhile, the weekend's live Premier League soccer action kicks off with Manchester United v Spurs on TNT Sports on Saturday at 12.30pm.

Arsenal v Sunderland is on Premier Sports at 3pm, followed by Newcastle United v Brentford on Sky at 5.30pm.

The live Sky double header on Sunday features Brighton v Crystal Palace at 2pm, then Liverpool v Manchester City at 4.30pm.

There is a full programme of Premier League games live on TNT Sports from Tuesday to Thursday. The pick of the matches include Chelsea v Leeds United and Spurs v Newcastle at 7.30pm on Tuesday, with West Ham v Manchester United at 8.15pm.

Wednesday’s fixtures include Aston Villa v Brighton and Manchester City v Fulham at 7.30pm, and Sunderland v Liverpool at 8.15pm.

On Thursday, Brentford host Arsenal at 8pm.
