The love story of Nicole and Aaron first began near the steps of Dunnes Stores in Ballyvolane, where the then-teens first laid eyes on each other.

Aaron contacted Nicole through Facebook and the youngsters had their first official date- a trip to the cinema- on New Year’s Eve back in 2011.

Since then, the couple has travelled far and wide, with Aaron proposing to Nicole at the top of the Rockefeller Center in New York in 2019.

Nicole is originally from the northside of the city, but moved to the countryside with her parents. Aaron grew up in Sunday’s Well. Today, they live near Mallow with their daughter, Cali and say they can’t wait to travel in the future with their little girl.

The couple were supported on the day by maid of honour Amy Stokes, who “played a crucial role on the day” as well as bridesmaids; Denise O’Brien, Shannon O’Brien, Kirsten Radford, and Ashleigh Bloss. Junior bridesmaids were: Hollie Stokes and Kayla Crawshaw, while flower girls were Cali Bloss, Shaniqua Williamson, and Lakeisha Williamson. “All of my bridesmaids were fantastic and the groomsmen kept Aaron calm on throughout the day,” said the bride. Christian Browne was best man, and the groomsmen were Peter Browne, Leigh Harrington, Conor Grieve, and Danny McCauley.

Memories of family members who passed in recent years were not far from their thoughts on the day.

The groom’s suit was from Red Church in Cork.

After the ceremony, the couple held a reception for their guests at the Great Southern Killarney.

“There was entertainment all day from the minute it started, to the end of the night including: Ger Kearney, magician; Darren from Sax Appeal; John Frawley, the singing chef; Jason O’Callaghan, the hypnotist; the Caroline Bailey Band, and Dean Aherne to end the night,” the couple said. Day two featured entertainment from Dean Aherne and Myles The couple’s first dance was to  I Won’t Let Go by James Morrison.

Asked what was the most memorable thing about the day, the couple said the whole day was “spectacular” and they wouldn’t change a thing.

“One thing that sticks out in my mind was my mam Wendy and my sisters, Amy and Hollie, and cousin, Shannon, helping me get dressed on the morning- it was brilliant,” said Nicole.
