AI will be in focus at a special event in Cork later this month.

Network Ireland West Cork, in collaboration with the Local Enterprise Office Cork North and West, is hosting ‘AI: Cut Through the Noise – Practical Tools for Small Businesses’ at the Celtic Ross Hotel on April 29.

The event is designed to help small business owners and professionals better understand how artificial intelligence can support everyday work and decision-making.

Mark Kelly, Founder and Executive Director of AI Ireland, will share practical tools and real-world SME examples to show how AI is already transforming areas such as marketing, customer service, operations and team productivity. Organisers say attendees will gain a clear understanding of what AI is, how it can be applied in everyday business situations, and the simple steps they can take to begin using it effectively.

The session is specifically tailored for small business owners, self-employed entrepreneurs, SME managers and anyone curious about how AI can support their work. A spokesperson for Network Ireland West Cork said participants will learn how to identify quick wins, reduce administrative workload and use AI tools to make better-informed business decisions.

“This joint event reflects the shared commitment of Network Ireland West Cork and Local Enterprise Office Cork North and West to supporting innovation, digital awareness and business growth across the region.

“By bringing together local entrepreneurs, business leaders and experts, the evening aims to make emerging technologies more accessible and relevant to the West Cork business community,” the spokesperson added.

AI: Cut Through the Noise – Practical Tools for Small Businesses will take place from 6.30pm to 9pm and is open to both members and non-members.

The event is free to attend, however, advance registration is required via the Local Enterprise Office Cork North & West website – www.localenterprise.ie/corknorthandwest.
