Derry City part ways with manager Tiernan Lynch

Derry City have announced the departure of manager Tiernan Lynch.
City recruited the Belfast native in November 2024 after he left Larne, but he leaves having won just once in seven matches in all competitions.
The club are currently sixth in the SSE Airtricity Premier Division and just five points clear of the relegation playoff place.
James McClean and the now departed Lynch have clashed publicy in recent weeks, with the 35-year-old winger taking to social media to voice his displeasure at the goings on at the Brandywell.
Director of Football at the club Mark Connolly will take over as interim boss and will be in the dugout for Friday's home game against Sligo Rovers.
