Shamrock Rovers' title party has been put on hold.

Second-placed Derry City handed the league leaders their third defeat in a row thanks to a 2-1 victory at the Ryan McBride Brandywell.

It leaves three points between the sides, but the Hoops have a better goal difference and a game in hand over their chasers.

The win also means Derry are qualified for European football next season.

Shamrock Rovers head coach Stephen Bradley and assistant coach Glen Cronin completed the Irish Life Dublin Marathon earlier on Sunday.

Both men crossed the line in a time of 3:57.37, before boarding a helicopter to fly to Derry for the match against the Candystripes.

Meanwhile, it finished all square 2-2 between Bohemians and Shelbourne in the Dublin derby at Dalymount Park.

Ross Tierney and Jordan Flores put Bohs 2-0 up, but John Martin and Harry Wood gave the champions a point.
