GAA: Silverware up for grabs in League finals

The first silverware of the year is up for grabs in Croke Park this weekend as the National League finals take place.

After a dramatic final day in Division One, it is Mayo and Kerry who are in the showpiece event.

Despite relegation being a possibility at one stage last weekend, respective wins over Donegal and Galway have set them up for Sunday's final.

When the two teams met in round five, it was Mayo who were the winners in Castlebar, with both teams unbeaten in the games that followed.

The two sides last met in a League final in 2022, when it was Kerry who ran out as winners.

In Division Two, Monaghan and Roscommon were promoted on the first time of asking, and will be aiming to go into the championship with silverware under their belt.

In Division Three, Offaly have surprised the division as they finished second to gain promotion promotion along with Leinster rivals Kildare.

After their shock relegation last season, Kildare were promoted on the first time of asking.

The Division Four final will see the only undefeated side, Wexford, take on Limerick.

Kildare v Offaly, Croke Park, TG4, 1.45pm.

Kerry v Mayo, Croke Park, TG4, 4pm.
