Errigal Ciarán are the marginal 4/6 favourites to win Sunday’s All-Ireland Club Football Championship at Croke Park at the expense of Leinster champions, Cuala.

The Tyrone champions progressed to the final after a tussle with Kerry’s Dr Crokes that was decided in extra time, with brothers Darragh and Ruairi Canavan combining to score 1-13 of the side’s 2-18 total.

While Errigal Ciarán scraped into the final by the narrowest margin, it was a more straightforward task for Dublin’s Cuala, who ended the stunning run of Sligo champions Coolera/Strandhill to book their place in Sunday’s decider.

The Leinster kingpins will take to the field at Croke Park as the slight underdogs at 6/5 and the Dalkey-based outfit will be bidding to add the Andy Merrigan Cup to the two All-Ireland hurling trophies that already reside in the club cabinet.

Spokesperson for BoyleSports, Brian O’Keeffe, said: “Both sides are looking to land a first All-Ireland football title and while there’s very little to separate them in the betting, punters are backing the Canavan brothers to be the difference at Croke Park and bring the trophy back to Tyrone.”
