Woman (50s) dies after being hit by car in Co Derry

A woman in her 50s has died following a road crash in Co Derry.
Police have appealed for information following the incident in the Drumrane Road area of Limavady at around 2.50pm on Sunday.
The crash involved a car and a pedestrian.
A PSNI spokesperson said: “Officers, along with colleagues from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, attended, and medical treatment was provided at the scene.
“However, sadly, the woman passed away from her injuries a short time later.
“The Drumrane Road, which was closed for a time, has since reopened.
“Our enquiries are continuing and we would appeal to anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have any information which could assist with our investigation – including dash-cam or other footage – to contact the Collision Investigation Unit on 101, quoting reference number 926 of 16/08/26.”
