Motorcyclist (30s) dies following single-vehicle crash in Co Galway

A motorcyclist has died following a single-vehicle crash in Carraghy, Co Galway, on Friday night.
The crash happened on the N83 Claregalway to Tuam road at approximately 11:40 pm.
The motorcyclist, a man in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body has since been removed to University Hospital Galway, where a post-mortem examination will take place.
A forensic collision investigator's examination is currently being conducted at the scene.
The road remains closed at this time, with local diversions in place.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have been travelling on the N83 between Claregalway and Tuam between 11:00 pm and 11:40 pm to come forward.

Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
