Clyda Rovers and Éire Óg game postponed due to bereavement

The McCarthy Insurance Group SAFC tie between Clyda Rovers and Éire Óg has been postponed.
The decision follows a bereavement within the Clyda Rovers club.
The Group 3 Round 2 fixture had been scheduled for Grenagh on Sunday at 3pm. Details on the new date and time have yet to be confirmed, though the break weekend in two weeks’ time is an obvious option given both clubs are tied up with hurling championship commitments next weekend.
Both sides were preparing for the encounter on the back of contrasting results in their opening games three weeks ago. Éire Óg held off a late Bishopstown surge to win by the minimum, while Clyda Rovers let a lead slip in their two-point defeat to Avondhu rivals Kilshannig.
The Mourneabbey outfit also suffered a major setback in that game, with Cork footballer Conor Corbett sustaining a cruciate ligament injury following scans in the days afterwards. Corbett remained on the pitch after receiving treatment.
