Man (30s) charged in connection with fatal incident in Co Leitrim

A man in his 30s has been charged in connection with a fatal incident in Co Leitrim during the week.

He is due to appear before a special sitting of Carrick-on-Shannon District Court at 9pm on Saturday.

The deceased, who was aged in his 40s, was found unresponsive following reports of an incident at a home in Arderry shortly after 9pm on Thursday.

He was treated at the scene by emergency services personnel but was pronounced dead a short time later.

Investigations are ongoing, gardaí said.
