Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road crash in Co Louth.

A man in his 80s died after the car he was driving was involved in a collision with a truck on the N2 at Edmondstown near Ardee shortly before 6pm on Wednesday.

The road remains closed for a forensic examination, and Gardaí are asking anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage from the area to come forward.
