Mayo is the best county for raising a family, survey shows

A new survey has named Mayo as the best county in Ireland to raise a family.

The study by Quote Devil weighed up key metrics such as schools, crime rates, and access to green spaces.

Mayo topped the table, offering an "appealing lifestyle" with relatively affordable house prices.

The analysis ranked Donegal and Kerry in second and third, while Sligo, Clare, Cork, and Dublin also featured in the top 10.

At the other end of the table is Kildare, which is the toughest place to bring up a family due to high house prices, limited green spaces, and higher crime levels.
