Woman (20s) dies in single-vehicle crash in Co Cork

A woman has died following a single-vehicle crash in Kildorrery, Co Cork, on Sunday morning.

The crash occurred on the N73 Mallow-Dublin Road at around 7.25 a.m.

The driver and lone occupant of the car, a woman in her 20s, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Her body has been removed to the local mortuary where a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.

The Coroner has been notified.

The N73 is currently closed between Kildorrery Village and the R522 for a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Local diversions are in place.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.

Road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) who were travelling in the area of the N73 Mallow-Dublin road at Kildorrery between 7:00 am and 7:30 am on Sunday are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.
