Met Éireann is warning of spot flooding, difficult travelling conditions and impaired visibility.

Friday will remain dry for a time with sunny spells and moderate south to southwest winds.

There will be some scattered showers, generally across western counties to begin, and across northern counties for the afternoon.

Cloud will gradually increase with wet and breezy conditions moving into southwest Munster this evening, extending to southern and western counties by nightfall. Cool for early summer, with highest temperatures of 12 to 18 degrees

Friday night will see rain become widespread and heavy and persistent in places, particularly for southern counties and later for eastern counties. Mist and hill fog too, especially for southern areas.

Lowest temperatures of eight to 12 degrees.

It will be a cloudy and wet start to Saturday for most, with further outbreaks of rain, heavy in places for a while, before easing.

Dry conditions with sunny spells will move into the Southwest and West early in the morning, very gradually extending elsewhere.

Some drizzle will arrive in western counties in the evening. Again cool for early summer with highest temperatures of 13 to 17 degrees.

Sunday will see outbreaks of rain becoming widespread from the west through the morning, some of it heavy.

Brighter conditions with sunshine and showers will move into western and northwestern parts during the afternoon, and slowly extend elsewhere. Some of the showers may turn heavy later, especially in the northwest.

Highest temperatures of 14 to 18 degrees in moderate to fresh southwest winds.
