A man in his 20s has been charged in connection with the fatal stabbing of 21-year-old Qayyam Balogun in Dublin city centre.

Mr Balogun was attacked on Clarendon Street in the early hours of Monday morning and later died in hospital.

The accused is due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice in Dublin on Friday morning.

The charge relates to an assault causing harm offence.

Investigations remain ongoing.
