Land Development Agency starts construction on 193 homes in Co Dublin

The Land Development Agency (LDA) has announced the start of construction on 193 affordable and social homes at Golding Green, Kinsealy, in north County Dublin.

Lydon has been appointed as development partner and will deliver the scheme in a single phase, with all homes expected to be completed in 2028.

It will deliver 193 homes, including 123 three-bed houses, 30 two-bed houses, 20 three-bed duplex apartments and 20 two-bed apartments, all of which will be A-rated.

The homes will be made available as affordable purchase and social homes.

The scheme includes a range of supporting amenities, including a crèche, public open space, a football pitch, new pedestrian links, and a cycle greenway.

The site is located between Clarehall and Malahide, and benefits from strong transport links, including bus services along the Malahide Road and rail access from Portmarnock DART station.

The Local Authority Affordable Purchase Scheme enables eligible buyers to bridge the gap between the price of the home and the amount of personal funds and mortgage available to them.

The scheme involves a shared equity arrangement, which effectively lowers the upfront cost and enables Fingal County Council to hold an equity interest in the property until it is repaid, or the home is sold.
