Parts of Dublin's south city centre remain sealed off to the public following a fatal stabbing earlier on Monday.

Emergency services discovered a man with serious injuries on Clarendon Street, near Grafton Street, at 3am.

The 21-year-old was taken to St James's Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short while later.

Investigations are still ongoing and gardaí are calling for any witnesses to come forward.
