Man (20s) dies after single-vehicle crash in Co Dublin

A man has died after a single-vehicle crash in Finglas, Co Dublin, on Saturday.

The crash occurred on the R121 at The Ward at approximately 12:40 a.m.

The driver of the car, a man in his 20s, was conveyed to Conolly Hospital Blanchardstown for treatment of serious injuries. He was later pronounced deceased.

The coroner has been notified.

The passenger, a man in his 20s, was conveyed to hospital as a precaution.

The road is currently closed for technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, and is expected to reopen shortly.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.

Road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) who were travelling in the R121 at The Ward, Finglas, Co. Dublin - between 11:50pm on Friday 29th May and 12:40am on Saturday 30th May- are asked to make this footage available to gardaí.
