The man in his 20s arrested in connection with the firearm incident in Ballymun on Tuesday has been released and charged in connection with the case.

He is scheduled to appear at this afternoon's sitting of Dublin District Court.

Investigating gardaí have continued to appeal for witnesses.

Anyone who was in the Ballymun area on Tuesday, April 28th, and may have information or relevant camera footage has been asked to contact the investigation team.

"Anyone with information is urged to contact Ballymun Garda Station on (01) 666 4400, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station," a garda statement said.

Investigations are ongoing, the statement concluded.
