Man (30s) to appear in court in relation to Liffey Valley security incident

A man (30s) has been charged in relation to a security incident at Liffey Valley in Co Dublin on Wednesday afternoon.

He is due to appear before Blanchardstown District Court on Thursday morning at 10.30am.

Gardaí and emergency services responded to a security alert on the grounds of the Liffey Valley retail park in north-west Dublin, just after rush hour.

A statement from Dublin Fire Brigade said the incident was near the bus terminal at the retail park.

Dublin Fire Brigade said its firefighters and paramedics from Tallaght, along with Blanchardstown ambulance, responded to the situation as well.

Investigations are ongoing.
