Emergency services attend security incident near Liffey Valley in Dublin

Gardaí and emergency services responded to a security alert on the grounds of the Liffey Valley retail park in north-west Dublin this evening.

Traffic restrictions are still in place around around the area of the shopping centre. A statement from Dublin Fire Brigade said the incident was near the bus terminal at the retail park.

Dublin Fire Brigade said its firefighters and paramedics from Tallaght, along with Blanchardstown ambulance, responded to the situation as well.

The incident began shortly after rush hour.
