CMAT wins RTÉ Choice Music Prize awards for album and artist of the year

CMAT has won the RTÉ Choice Music Prize Album of the Year for her album EURO-Country.

Barry Devlin from Horslips made the announcement in Vicar St after the judging panel, made up of Irish music media professionals and chaired by Jim Carroll, gathered on Thursday to decide on the winner.

The singer, who recently released a 'Dunboyne Diana' collection with O'Neill's, also won the Irish Artist of the Year 2025 Award.

The RTÉ Choice Music Awards were hosted by 2FM's Tracy Clifford in Vicar St and were broadcast live on 2FM with Beta Da Silva.

It included exclusive performances by six of the nominated artists.

Amble won Irish Song of the Year for Schoolyard Days.

The song was selected from a shortlist of 10 songs by public vote in Ireland only, via the RTÉ 2FM and Choice Music Prize websites, and was announced by Tracy Clifford on her show on Thursday afternoon.

The trio also won an award for Irish Breakthrough Artist of the Year.

Amble were also nominated for Album of the Year for their debut record Reverie.

Other nominations for Album of the Year included Black's Law by Bricknasty, Teeth of Time from Joshua Burnside, Dove Ellis's Blizzard, The End by Junior Brother, WE WERE JUST HERE by Just Mustard, Warsaw 480km by pôt-pot, Luster by Maria Somerville and All That Is Over by SPRINTS.

The Táin by Horslips won the Classic Irish Album Award.

Louise Duffy of RTÉ Radio One welcomed Barry Devlin, Eamon Carr and Jim Lockhart to the stage to collect the award for their 1973 LP.
