Three people were taken to the hospital after a chemical spill at a lab at Trinity College in Dublin on Tuesday.

Dublin Fire Brigade said it attended the scene on Pearse Street shortly after 11am with advanced paramedics and the Hazardous Materials Unit, along with gardaí.

The three people were taken to the hospital as a precaution, and the college has confirmed they have since been discharged

An environmental clean-up was required at Trinity's Biomedical Sciences Institute, and the situation is now under control.
