Yellow wind warning issued for three counties

A yellow wind warning has been issued for three counties as repairs continue following the aftermath of Storm Barm.

Met Éireann has issued a yellow wind warning for Galway, Mayo, and Kerry from midnight until 7 am on Thursday.

Met Éireann has warned of difficult travelling conditions, fallen trees and loose objects displaced.

Wednesday will see heavy blustery showers, with isolated thunderstorms and hail, which will largely be confined to Ulster by around midday.

Sunny spells and mostly dry conditions will follow for the rest of the day. Breezy with the highest temperatures of eight to 12 degrees.

Wednesday night will be dry, becoming windy in a strengthening southerly wind.

Some rain will begin to show up in the Atlantic coasts towards the morning, with the lowest temperatures of six to nine degrees.

Thursday will be a windy day, with rain pushing in over the western half of the country during the morning, spreading into the eastern half of the country in turn during the afternoon, clearing eastern counties later in the evening.

Clearer weather will follow from the west with strong and gusty southerly winds easing.

Highest temperatures of nine to 12 degrees.
