A man found unresponsive at a house in West Donegal on Monday has died.

The man, who was in his 50s, was found at a residence at Loughanoran, Annagry.

He was rushed to Letterkenny University Hospital for treatment.

However, it is understood he passed away late last night.

The man is from the locality and is well-known in the area.

Gardaí said on Tuesday that they were "investigating all the circumstances" surrounding the incident.

The area remains sealed off.

It is understood that the State Pathologist will visit the scene later on Wednesday.
