A man is due to appear before magistrates charged with attempted murder after a woman was seriously injured in Co Tyrone.

The 43-year-old has also been charged with possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence.

He is to appear before Enniskillen Magistrates’ Court on Monday.

It follows an incident in Dungannon on Saturday.

A police spokesperson said all charges will be reviewed, as usual, by the Public Prosecution Service.
